U.S. consumer-sentiment has jumped to 70.2 in September from 65.7 in August. In addition, S&P earnings forecasts continue to show improvement. Market strategist, Edward Yardeni had raised his estimate to $72 since they bottomed at $62 in May. He figures he will need to raise them again in response to rising consensus forecasts.
